Cambridge Judge Business School School, a strong international brand, invests strategically in marketing and profile-raising initiatives, which result in the production of significant quantities of brand assets. These photographs, illustrations and artwork have been spread throughout local and shared drives, CDs and DVDs, and the School found it had a pressing requirement for a digital asset management system to organise these precious resources, and make them available to staff and faculty across a wide range of departments and programmes, including the Cambridge MBA and Executive Education.

As part of an ambitious and forward-thinking IT and External Affairs strategy, the School has recently procured celum IMAGINE to manage their digital assets.

“We saw an opportunity in celum IMAGINE to make an under-used and genuinely exciting set of resources available to our community,” says Peter Graham. “celum has brought order to chaos when it comes to our digital assets, and we’re excited to make a leap towards enterprise content management by integrating celum IMAGINE with our new intranet, based on the Microsoft SharePoint platform.”

The School’s internal IT resources were already fully committed to a programme of projects, and tasked celum with arranging robust hosting and deployment of the software, which took only a month from purchase order to production.

“Turn-key is an overused phrase in IT, but in this case it was just that,” says Peter Graham.

As the University’s marketing and communications strategies have embraced new and social media, increasing amounts of video and audio content have been generated. celum IMAGINE’s ability to manage and repurpose this content has streamlined production workflows and enabled this material to be organised and made available for other projects.

The School soon plans to begin recording video footage of lectures and other events which will be held in celum IMAGINE, and is launching a pro-active campaign to grow the contents of the system by soliciting contributions.  Staff are actively engaging with the system and volunteering previously unknown content.
